It is Day 156 of my Journey and it is the 5th of January. How are all you guys getting on with your Nutrition and Training?
I am training hard and after a great x mas food wise I was lucky enough not to gain anything and to stay pretty healthy throughout.
I had not really indulged in anything over the x mas and so the 1st of Jan came and I was craving chocolate...... in a big way! I didn't get any but on the 2nd decided that I should have some and allow my body the indulgence and then move on and it worked. I enjoyed the chocolate and have not craved any since.
I have been really healthy and enjoying it for 8 months now with no cravings at all so to have that one isn't so bad!!! :)
So the reason I am telling you this is because pre my 8 month health kick I would have craved chocolate and cake daily and given in to those cravings daily and all day long. Stopping those cravings was a process but it worked. I had to make a choice to change my Nutrition completely and I did and within 2 months all my cravings had gone. I did not want or look for anything sugary like chocolate or sweets or cake instead grapes apples and melon became my go to choices when I needed something sweet because they tasted so much better. When I did decide to have a piece of chocolate (and it was only a piece) the taste left me feeling less than satisfied and also left me feeling sick. It showed me that the choice I had made to change my Nutrition was a worthwhile choice and 5 stone lighter later..... I am happy I made it!
I have a way to go yet but its not a problem because its doable.
